Rathgar, Dublin

project of a new contemporary 3-storey house located in the historical part od Dublin; the main aim of this design was to use the same finishes as these on neighbouring buildings and proving that together with intensive greenery around, the new house will not stand out neither with its modern character nor its size but it will diversify its immediate vicinity with its simple form; before the planners’ approval the house was re-designed a few times as seen on the attached views; because of the small site the house has got a basement sunlit via enormous glazings facing the recessed terrace; to keep the greenery amount as required all the flat roofs over the proposed garage and the house side wing are designed as green extensive roofs covered in succulents and grass
