new design of a timber framed double house for 2 families; simple white apartment blocks are separated from dark grey garages, which also are shifted towards the front to create a more segmented layout and to make the most of the irregular shape of the small building site; each family’s block parts are identical & mirrored in overall shape but are totally different both in their outside looks and their interior design; they have the same finishes and elevations’ details made in painted timber; this double house is built by the best friends who do not mind sharing both front and rear gardens so no additional site divisions are needed
